Why learning through fields trips is important

I believe that learning through field trips is important because you get a first hand experience on the topic the field trip is centered on, you learn a lot of interesting information on the topic that the teacher may not be able to provide and some fun facts. It gives the child a new look at the subject through a close-up, hands on perspective. It has been said that it is easier to remember things when doing it hands-on, hence why many field trip programs and museums have exhibits to fit that criteria. Also, being able to have fun increases interest in the subject (in my opinion). Through the many years of going on field trips, I’m sure my peers and I have learned many things and have cherished the experience. Learning through field trips in my eyes is a great way to learn and have fun.
